yeah, i suppose it is more Cure-ish or Depeche Mode-y, but New Order is always my first association when I hear heavily chorused baritone.
And DFA/Plantain is Logic. Everyone on DFA uses logic except us. We use Pro Tools. |

this is the ticket...
really, really fun instrument. we borrowed one from a friend for this remix and have ended up finding a lot of use for it on our own stuff. |

the bass player in speedking had an original. it sounded like the end of the world. of course it went through a first-year, hand-wired svt, AND a SUNN coliseum bass rig. argh. |

| yeah, the reissue is kind of shit. the pickups suck and I guess you could swap them out but i don't know what for. Andrew's also might be a little screwed too. Regardless, I'm going to buy one because the originals go for no less than $5000 and it's really the only thing of it's kind - not quite a baritone, not quite bass. We've grown quite dependent on it. |

The biggest recommendation I'd give is to adapt it into a double humbucker at the bottom of it; will change the sound tenfold and only make it mightier
I'm a sucker for Thunderbirds. Not the best sound, but they are the most rockin' looking basses ever. For audio, I am a big Warwick fan _________________

Nick,
What kind of amps do you you use for your keyboards, or do you just put them directly into Pro Tools? |

| usually just direct into protools. sometimes through our soundcraft and on rare occasion through our Traynor TB50b for Clav or Wurli (which is what we use for a lot of bass and guitar). JC120 for the Rhodes always. But for synths, usually just direct. |

Having problems with my dog. Doesn't want to seem to go for a walk outside today. Any suggestions/tips?

if you can't run it through a Space Echo, I don't have an answer for you. The Holy Ghost! set of Oblique Strategies would be 50 cards that all say "Run it through the Space Echo." |

My back hurt this morning. Then I ran it through a Space Echo, and now I feel great!
Thanks HG! |

recently got hold of a 1985ish Fender Precision bass (one with the soapbar pickup at the bridge) for free which was a touch but the
electrics are all fried and the pickups look a bit rusty.
was going to just get it restored with the original Fender pickups.
from what i've read they are pretty flexible when working.
Anyone have any alternative suggestions? |
